In this research, 5 kinds of main component's typical ratio of Nanjing municipal solid waste is used as the raw materials , and the materials treated by acid and made into RDF are carbonized under the operating temperature ranged from 300℃to 700℃in the fixed bed type thermal decomposition carbonization stove which were independently designed. The preparative experiment result shows that only the carbonization temperature has most remarkable influence to the pyrolysis carbonization technology. Therefore, the combustion characteristic and the adsorption characteristic of cRDF (carbonized Refuse Derived Fue1) and cRDF-AT (carbonized Refuse Derived Fue1-Acid Treatment) from different carbonization temperature will be discussed in this paper.Combustion Characteristics experiments of cRDF were mainly carried out on thermal analyzer, and the characteristic parameters of the fire, burning characteristics of index and the kinetic parameters of combustion were obtained from TGA curves of samples in order to have a comprehensive evaluation about the combustion characteristics of cRDF. Static adsorption characteristics of cRDF on the toxic steam at room temperature studies were studied in this paper. The specific surface area of the samples was tested first, and then static adsorption of cRDF and cRDF-AT from different pyrolysis carbonization temperatures on steam of formaldehyde solution and ammonia solution at room temperature was carried on.RDF from municipal solid waste was carbonized to cRDF. Energy utilization of cRDF as fuel will help to ease energy issues brought about by tension of fossil fuels. Material utilization of cRDF as adsorption material will achieve the purpose of treating waste by waste, and can be used as a substitute for other adsorption material,and have the advantage of doing without regeneration treatment.
