The thesis studied the calorifics character and the mechanics character of bamboo by means of mathematics calculate and experiment testing. The purpose is to fill up the scarcity in this study field, and provide theory support for the flatting process in order to choose the best parameters. The first part describes as follow: calculate the radial thermal conductivity model for bamboo according to the Fourier formula and the heat conduction model for wood, test the radial thermal conductivity of bamboo in different moisture contain using thermal conductivity measure instrument, compare the calculated value with the tested value. The result indicates that the calculated value and the tested value have significant correlation in different moisture contain and the mathematics model is avaluable.The second part describes as follow: calculate the thermal conduction model for bamboo according to the thermal conduction formula in anisotropic material and the infinity flat theory, test the temperature locating in surface and midst of bamboo in different moisture contain using T-style thermocouple, compare the calculated value with the tested value. The result indicates that the calculated value and the tested value have significant correlation in different moisture contain and in different heating method, and the mathematics model is avaluable.The third part describes as follow: test the static elastic of modulus of bamboo sample flatted in different arc, using three-point bending method according to GB/T15780-1995 testing methods for physical and mechanical properties of bamboo, measure the dynamic elastic of modulus of the same sample, using dynamic suspending method according to dynamic suspending testing methods for young modulus of engineering material, analyze the tested value. The result indicates that with the decrease of the bamboo arc, the static elastic of modulus increases at first and then decreases, but the dynamic elastic of modulus decreases gradually, this is due to the composite influence of density grade and compression density in the flatting process.
