Braided composites are compounded by woven fiber reinforced materials and resins or other matrix materials.2D biaxial braided composite is one of typical woven composites.Researchers studied the braided composites which is woven by single fiber before,this paper study the basalt fiber and carbon fiber woven hybrid composites on the basis of 2D biaxial braided composite.Basalt fiber is a kind of advanced environmentally friendly fiber which consists of natural basalt made by melt drawing process.It has the advantages of high temperature resistance,corrosion resistance,electrical insulation and other excellent performance.Researching on the basalt fiber and the corresponding hybrid composites can not only enrich the varieties of advanced fibers in our country but also expend the properties and the application ranges of the composites.Meso composite unit cell model is established by a CAD software called SolidWorks in this paper.Paper shows the foreground that the mechanical and the thermal properties of the Single-cell model in a different contexture by using finite element software ANSYS.In the analysis of mechanical Properties,this article simulates the mechanical behaviors under the Loaded mode of the Single-cell model stretched along direction of weave and thickness fiber and basalt fiber in six different contexture and analyze their stress distribution.According to the Qualitative theory,this article calculates the effective elastic modulus in the direction of braid and thickness,analyzing the influencing factors and the laws of it.In the thermal part,this article numerically analyzes thermal properties of the basalt and carbon mixed fiber composites in six different contexture by using the methods of the steady-state thermal analysis,the non-steady-state thermal analysis and thermodynamic analysis.Hence,it concludes the thermal conductivity,thermal diffusivity and thermal expansion coefficient of Braided Composites in different contexture and make a analysis and comparison among them.
