Organic material thin film with special function has become a very important technique-renovation material in 21st century. OLED is regarded as "flat-panel display of the twenty-first century" because of its higher luminous color options and advantages of large-area film. It is one of the hot spots in the study of the International Flat Panel Display Technology.The organic ligand metal complexes With 8 - hydroxyquinoline which has the feature widely high luminous efficiency and brightness, good film-forming, high glass transition temperature, the characteristics of a simple synthetic process and so on has applies widely on OLED. Since American C.W.Tang first reported that 8 - hydroxyquinoline aluminum is used to make the two-tier green organic light-emitting diodes (OLED) , organic ligand metal complexes With 8 - hydroxyquinoline has been the ideal organic light-emitting materials more than a decade in the history of the development。The researches about 8 - hydroxyquinoline aluminum, 8 - hydroxyquinoline lithium, 8 - hydroxyquinoline zinc and many other organic small molecule material have done . 8 - hydroxyquinoline aluminum research has matured and successfully applied to commercial production.The study of 5-substituent 8– hydroxyquinoline as Polymer-based metal complexes has got great progress in recent years. In the paper we mainly introduce the synthesis of 5 replaced by 8 - hydroxyquinoline metal complex derivatives and make research on Fluorescence efficiency, thermal stability, solubility in organic solvents, synthetic hydroxy-protection process and so on. On the other hand, this article will also design 4,-Hydroxy-4-biphenylcarbonitrile liquid crystal fragment into 5 - to replace the 8– hydroxyquinoline and study the Fluorescence efficiency, thermal stability, as well as the liquid crystal's nature of these 8 - hydroxyquinoline-metal complexes of derivatives...
