The experiments of pyrolysis and copyrolysis of Huolinhe lignite, Shenmu bitumite, PE and PP were carried out in a fixed-bed reactor. The main purpose was to reserach the synergism between the coals and plastics during the copyrolysis process. The results of TG and DTG showed that the most weight loss decreased and the most weight loss rate increased with the increasing of heating rate, and the initial temperature, the highest temperature corresponding the most loss weight and the ending temperature all moved towards higher temperature for all the samples. Through the Comparation of pyrolysis kinetics, the reaction order and the activation energy of Huolinhe lignite, Shenmu bitumite PE and PP were similar.Pyrolysis and copyrolysis experiments were carried out with Huolinhe lignite, Shenmu bitumite, PE and PP in a fixed-bed reactor. The effects of residence time, flow velocity of carrier gas, pressure and pyrolysis temperature on the yield of tar and water were studied with nitrogen as carrier gas. The results of pyrolysis were demonstrated that when the flow velocity of carrier gas was 0.4L/min for 20 minutes' residence time under 0.2 MPa, the temperature for the maximum yield of tar obtained from Huolinhe lignite, Shenmu bitumite was both 540℃and PE or PP had nearly been decomposed completely. The results of copyrolysis showed that the yield of tar obtained from Huolinhe lignite with 5wt% PE had the maximum 14.00wt% at 520℃which was correspondingly 4.69% higher than the theory calculation. As for Shenmu bitumite with 5wt% PP, the yield of tar had the maximum 18.88wt% which was correspondingly 10.41% higher than the theory calculation. Synergism between coals and plastics was proved to some extent.Gases from pyrolysis and copyrolysis were analyzed by gas-chromatogram to research the componets changes. The tars obtained from pyrolysis of Huolinhe lignite, Shenmu bitumite, PE, PP and coal-plastic mixtures ( with 5wt% PE or PP) were analyzed by element analysis and GC-MS. The results showed that the additions of PE and PP increased H/C atom ratio in the tars obtained from copyrolysis and the yields of aliphatic hydrocarbons in tars. The remarkable increase of hydrocarbons and light compounds made the tar be used as feedstocks for production of hydrogenated gasoline. The physical and chemical synergism exised in the copyrolysis of plastics and coal and reduces the chance of secondary reaction which increased tar yield and favoured the formation of methyl-substituted aromatic compounds in tars.
