Oilfield settling tank belongs to large oil storage installation, which has been commonly used in the united station, there are nearly one thousand cans in Daqing Oilfield only, its two major functions are storage and separation. In order to understand the production of oilfield and preliminarily master the quantity of crude oil flowing through the united station. We need to know the quality of oil and water in each tank. Therefore, it needs to be measured the specific location of oil-water interface—Oil measurement. It's very important to command scheduling production. At present, artificial ways are often used, whose disadvantages are labor-intensive, low efficiency, big errors, as well as many man-made factors. In this paper, a set of Dual-Level instrument are developed with high measuring accuracy and high degree of automation to improve the level of automation and scientific management of united station. On the basis of searching a large number of relevant documents and some field researching, the research program is quickly determined: Based on fluid dynamics theory, a number of 50-ohm serial resistances, dry reed pipes, and two floats with a designed proportion are designed. Through the above, the primary instrument is designed; Using a stainless steel tube package of instruments to improve explosion proof performance. At the same time in order to avoid static electricity and spark by friction when the floater moves, a copper bushing is installed on the contact surface between the floater and stainless steel; According to the operating principle of secondary instrument, combination of electronic technology and computer AD/DA, considering the measurement precision, instrument costs, several aspects such as anti-interference performance, secondary instrument is designed. The experiment results show that Dual-Level instrument has higher degree of automation, measurement accuracy and explosion proof performance, Which can not only significantly reduce labor intensity ,but also improve the automation level and scientific management of the united station.
