Phenol is one of the vital intermediate in industry,whose purity and quality dominate the descent products.Therefore,it becomes more and more important and urgent to improve its quality.Nowadays,90%phenol are produced by cymene all over the world,during whose process,there are a lot of unexpected reactions,which means it is not easy to get high quality phenol products.Highlight in this paper is to refine industrial phenol with cross-linked montmorillonite solid super acid catalysts whose construction IR,XRD, AlNMR and BET,and interim experiments are utilized to value catalysis capability.And the results show that the best refining technology of synthesis cross-linked montmorillonite solid super acid catalysts is as follows: n(OH-)/n(Al3+) equals 2.2,acidification content,15%,n(Al3+)/n(Mon),0.060, laid-aside time,6h,cross-linked time,6h and baked temperature,550℃。Furthermore,two sets of montmorillonite catalysts optimized above are used to refine industrial phenol and the operating conditions are studied whose catalyst capabilities during the refining process are valued to compare with the traditional two-part resins one.The result shows that the better refining technology to this experiment is processing at 140℃with Vsp10h-1 which can improve the UVT value of refined phenol to reach 95.7%and make the total impurities quantity under 100PPm,which entitle the refined phenol to international super purity level.To sum up,synthesis technology,characterization and value methods of cross-linked montmorillonite solid super acid catalysts are studied and investigated.The results show the priority in catalysis of montmorillonites through comparing with traditional two-part resin experiments and the operating considerations are optimized,which rock the UVT value of refined phenol to international super purity level.
