Many important properties of solid material are dependent on the surface chemical structure and atomic composition.Polymers containing perfluorinated alkyl side chains have attracted much attention due to their unique properties, such as high chemical and thermal stability, outstanding antiadhesive and oil-repellent properties, low refractive index and low dielectric constant. Therefore, fluoropolymers are used prevalently in the textile, coatings and carpet industries. Further applications include nonstick cookware, car finishes, aviation field, disk drives and waveguide devices. The synthesis of fluoropolymers and the relation ship between the polymer molecular structures and its properties are very interesting and have always been received much attention. Thus the study on the preparationand properties of fluoropolymers is remarkable.We use monomer of avtivity and monomer of acrylate and fluorine,the fluorinated acrylate copolymers were prepared via emulsion method. The solid content of emulsions was about 47.5%. The structure and water-rdsistance of latex films were characterized by XPS,FTIR,TEM and contact angle test. The result shows that contact angle is related to fluorin content of film surface and fluorin content of film surface is higher than fluorin content of copolymer, small quantity of fluorin(HFBA) may improve the oriented ability of fluorine and water contact angle on the film which was increased to108°. So it can improve ability of wate-resistance and anticorrosion.First of all, the latex with low sureface energy and self-stratified ability was prepared by core-shell emulsion polymerization. The effects of polymerization conditions and varieties of fluorine and silane monomers on hydrophobicity of film surface were investigated. The result of analysis on components of film surface by X-ray photoelectronic spectrum(XPS)showed that fluorine may oriente on the air surface of film.The new environmentally friendly fluoro-contained polymer dispersing agent is synthesized by the radical polymerization. The synthesis of process and performances are discussed. The dispersing stability of Polymer on CaCO3 suspension was analyzed, which shows that the former can increase the stability of CaCO3 suspension and superior to the others.
