In this paper,the core-shell type of fluorinated acrylate copolymer emulsion was prepared, using twelve fluorine heptyl ester(G04) as the fluorinated monomer,using hydroxy-propyl acrylate(β-HPA) as the crosslinked monomer,using methyl methacrylate(MMA) and butyl acrylate(BA) as the basic monomers,using sodium dodecyl sulfate(SDS),fatty alcohol polyoxyethylene ether(AEO-9) and fluorine surfactant(FS-200) as emulsifier system,using potassium persulfate((NH4)2S2O8) as the initiator,using the method of pre emulsification semi-continuous on the basis of semi-continuous seed emulsion polymerization and applied to the water and oil repellent finishing of cotton fabric.First of all,the synthesis prescription and process of the core-shell type of fluorinated acrylate copolymer emulsion was optimized by the main evaluation intexs that gelatum rate,conversion rate, emulsion appearance and application effect on pure cotton fabric of the emulsion. The experimental results showed that the optimum synthesis prescription(the following percentage is the percentage of the total monomers mass) was that the dosage of G04 was 35%,the mas ratio of MMA and BA was 0.35,the dosage of β-HPA was 5%, the mass ratio of SDS and AEO-9 was 1:1,the total dosage of emulgator was 1.5%,the mass ratio of core and shell emulsifier was 3:2,the dosage of(NH4)2S2O8 was 0.8%. And the optimum synthesis process was that the time of pre emulsifying was 75 min,the feeding way of shell monomer was the method that pre emulsification semi-continuous, the dropping time of shell monomer was 90 min,the temperature of polymerization was 78 ℃,the time of holding temperature was 75 min.Secondly, the measured core-shell type of fluorinated acrylate copolymer emulsion prepared in the condition of optimum synthesis prescription and process was uniform, fine,bright and had strong blue light.The solid content of emulsion was 34.0%,conversion rate reached 98.89%, gelatum rate was 0.2213%, and it showed a good storage, dilution,centrifugal and heat resistant to cold stability. Then the copolymer emulsion was characterized by FTIR and the result showed fluorinated monomer(G04) had been involved in the copolymerization reaction, fluoride group were successfully access copolymer macromolecule chain.And the test results of transmission electron microscopy(TEM) showed that there was no reunion phenomenon between copolymer latex particles, and the spherical core-shell structure was fairly obvious.Thirdly, after processed by the homemade core-shell type of copolymer emulsion,the surface of pure cotton fabric for water static contact Angle was 140.89°, the resistance to hydrostatic pressure was 1.73 Kpa, the grade of oil repellent was 4.5, showed excellent water and oil repellent performance, and after 30 times of washing, the fabrics still retained certain water and oil repellent effect. Therefore the homemade finishing agent had good washing resistance.At the same time, although the treated cotton fabric its breath permeability,moisture permeability, took a slight decline, the tensile breaking strength was not affected and wrinkle recovery performance had been improved.Finally,compared with dupont CO finishing agent,while the washing resistance of homemade core-shell type of fluorinated acrylate copolymer emulsion was somewhat insufficient,the water and oil repellent properties was parallel,so the homemade core-shell type of fluoride acrylic fabric finishing agent has certain application value.
