As the center zone of Circum-Bohai Bay and the important part of Circum-Bohai-Sea city group.It's the key zone of North China to Northeast China.So,water resources play an important role in the development of the area.There are two main cities:Tangshan and Qinhuangdao city in the area.Tangshan is a newly development city after a big earthquake in 1976.At the 1980s and 1990s,it mainly recovery the economy and rebuild the home,however, the protection of environment,especially groundwater environment was be ignored. Qinhuangdao was be developed into a newly tourism city.The economic development is a major project in this region.Now it's one of 14 cities that they are important foreign trade port and the class one tour city over the country that State Department sanctified.However,the water resource of this area is very shortage in north china.The groundwater resource is an important part of the total water resource in the area.The drinking water of people's living mainly exploits the groundwater.In recent years,with the discharging of industrial "three wastes",living rubbish and wastewater,the groundwater pollution is more and more serious and the groundwater quality deteriorate constantly in the study area.In the Previous studies,as a result of being short of the systemic groundwater pollution investigation,not very clear groundwater pollution status and vague groundwater pollution mechanism.To know the groundwater quality,groundwater pollution degree and groundwater pollution trend of this area,and making the groundwater resource gain the protect rationally and scientific cure,so at the support of the country resources investigation project "survey and assessment of the groundwater pollution in Luanhe Delta"(1212010634608) and at the aid of IAEA technique.The source of groundwater pollutant,pollution path and characteristics are analyzed through investigation in the field,the investigation area is 3500km2,620 vist points, 100 groups water samples and 3000 water quality data.Relative data is collected and using hydrogeologic characteristics in this area.The groundwater quality and pollution degree are assessed by integrated index method.The change trend of the Cl- and NO3- is predicted by establishing the prediction model of groundwater pollution trend.The paper mainly gains the following results about the groundwater pollution status of this area:1.The groundwater pollutant source,pollution passes and pollution characters of this area are analyzed.And the main pollutants are assessed.The order of discharging quantities of pollutants in the wastewater of this area is ascertained.They are COD,NH4+,suspending, sulfide,CN-,volatile hydroxybenzene,oil class;Three paths of groundwater pollution is analysed:they are intermittence infiltration type pollution,continuity infiltration type pollution and over flow type pollution.2.The groundwater quality and pollution degree of the key area in Luanhe Delta are assessed by GB/14848—93 and GB5749-2005.And the subarea map of groundwater quality and pollution degree is made.Finally,the prevention and cure map of groundwater pollution is made;3.Taking the Cl- and NO3- as an example and basing on the balance of water quantity and materiel.The conceptual model of forecasting groundwater pollution trend is established and the Cl- and NO3- concentration change in the groundwater is forecasted;4.Some measures and suggests of prevention and cure of groundwater pollution are brought forward basing on above work and analysis.The research provided the technique support and decision-making for protecting the groundwater of this area.It plays an important in building harmonious society and carrying out the scientific development view.
