Currently, as the development of oilfield, the reservoir quality is becoming poor and the main highly-productive fields is becoming depletion, with high water cut and declining production. The exploration and development in word wide focus on ensure the sustainable development based on improving recovery. The main reservoirs of Daqing Oilfield have entered into later high water cut stage, so it is necessary to well understand the EOR technologies used in representative foreign oilfields, especially in those similar to Daqing oilfield. The paper of"A Comparative Study on EOR technology In Dazing Oilfield and Foreign Oilfields"made a deep study on the development of foreign oilfields and their EOR technology from various aspects, based on amount of Chinese and foreign literature about oilfield development. Longitudinally, this paper studied the development status of foreign oilfields and the development history of EOR technology abroad, from which, the development rule and trends were summarized. Laterally, this paper studied several representative filed cases, from which, reservoir evaluation report, development principles, development indexes and EOR technologies in deferent stages have been analyzed. Furthermore, the correlation between foreign oilfield cases and Dazing oilfield was concluded. From the above study, it can be concluded that foreign oilfields with higher recovery factor have made much progress on multi-disciplinary integrated fine reservoir description, dynamic monitoring, horizontal well drilling and completion as well as reservoir management, all of which improve the recovery factor when they are applied in the oilfield development.
