Friction between rubber of aircraft tire treads with ground may result in high-temperature so that surface of the tread rubber may be melt, thereby bonded at the lens surface of runway lights, and lead to the beam projected by light faint, to affect taking off and landing. The lens surface of the runway lights needs decontamination treatment. The current decontamination methods are lagging. The research and design of high-efficient and automatic decontamination equipment is necessary.After a study on the dirt material and surface of lens and know its performance, contrast through with several bonding theories, to infer the specific way of bonding. At the basis of bonding way, by comparing several different methods results of decontamination and found that mechanical decontamination method is the best. on the basis of achieving mechanical Decontamination through the milling method, analysis and design the equipment, work process and methods of operation. More details of the equipment and its control unit have been analyzed. Working unit including tool structure, planar motion method and Z-axis feed means, pressure control methods is introduced. At the control unit Introduction, for first, the characteristics of PLC, Microcontroller and industrial PC have been compared, then, PLC control way has been chosen to compose the control unit. Finally, a specific PLC model is selected and the process program is design.
