The ways including pump heavy oil into pipe and put heavy oil in tank have different influence on the Startup Properties of crude oil and viscosity are summed up and analyzed after the experiment, and the restart pressure relationship with pipeline length and the pressure transmission are studied as well.The study finds that:1. Different heavy oil putting ways have important impact on restart pressure. The restart pressure which pump heavy oil into pipe is much more higher than the way put heavy oil in tank and about three times at other same conditions.2. Different heavy oil putting ways also have certain impact on rheological of the oil. The viscosity of two oils has little difference in the Newtonian fluid. After the oil temperature lower than 35 centigrade, the viscosity increase sharply and the crude oil begin to show the characteristics of non-Newtonian fluid. But the viscosity of pump heavy oil into pipe is much higher than the viscosity put heavy oil in tank. It is said that the glue and bituminous which is have full separation have certain active .It can improve the rheological properties of crude oil in lower temperature and has played the role of reduced viscosity.3. After the Sudan crude oil have treatment at 60 centigrade, its rheological properties have little effect when the treatment temperature at rang of 40 centigrade ~ 50 centigrade. Heating on duplicate also has little effect on the oil which is after treated at 60 centigrade.4. Pipeline start-up pressure increase when the pipeline length increase, but the increase extent is smaller. The start-up pressure have good linear relationship with pipeline length at higher restart temperature, but the start-up pressure no have good linear relationship with pipeline length at lower restart temperature.5. The higher temperature, the faster pressure wave speed. The testing speed of pressure wave in gelled crude oil is much less than that of sound wave in water. Besides, the speed of pressure wave in this paper is not a fixed value and decreases during the transmission from the head of pipeline to the end at lower temperature.
