Fault Tree Research Of Fire Accident In Thermal Oil Pump House Based On Equipment Fault Analysis

Fire accident threatens life, and may cause great loss of property. A lot of fire cases happen in the plant, and some of them are caused by the equipment fault. It is applied widely to replace the steam by thermal oil as thermal media in industrial field, meanwhile, the fire risk is increasing in the place thermal oil used, because the thermal oil is of organic compound. Besides mis-operation, equipment fault is an important factor which causes the fire of thermal oil.Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) is a useful tool to analyse and forecast the accident, which is used to analyse the fire accident frequently. Equipment fault with its characteristic and principle works as basic event in the fault tree. Analysing the principle of equipment fault, will upgrade the application of the FTA method.This thesis introduces the FTA method, and draws the fault tree of thermal oil pump house fire accident, which is set as top event in the tree. After make quailitative analysis of FTA, it analyse principle of the equipment fault, and apply it to evaluate basic event of the fault tree, the quantitative analysis is done subsequently. The idea of improving the equipment and management is worked out based on the conclusion of the analysis above.At end of this thesis, it summarizes the main research work in the thesis, and try to forecast research directions in related field in the future.
