Film capacitors welding machine is very important equipment in capacitors production. The welding power source has great effect on pins quality, yield rate, and parameters related to performance of capacitors.Welding power source is the core part of welding machine. Currently, most of welding power source in capacitor manufactory is designed by analog technology. This way will lead to imprecise controlling on trigger angle of triacs. Though many parameters such as mechanical location and welding rate can meet the requirements, lots of problems may still jump up, such as pins of capacitors instability fixity, surface unsmooth, even damage to capacitors by over current. However these problems are due to imprecise controlling of welding current. It will make great effective on pipelines on capacitors production and lead to poor quality and high defective rate. According to research, poor quality of welding power source is common in domestic machines. Foreign capacitors manufactory often uses precise digital resistor power source, and the quality is very good. In contract, no such type welding power source exists in domestic market. In order to increase the quality of domestic welding power source and keep out of importing expensive one, research on precise digital resistor welding power source is necessary.The main content of this paper is shown as follows:1. Film capacitors production process and welding equipment2. Analyze the defect of welding power source controlled by analogue circuit and the root cause3. ROHS related to film capacitor welding power source.4. Film capacitor welding power source design 5. Test on welding power source and analysis on test result.
