There are more than 40 kinds of Pyrotechnic compositions which are usually used in pyrotechnic articles today,most pyrotechnic compositions contain metal compound,nonmetal compound or the mixture of them.For the reason of purchasing chemical materials by informal way by the factories and the quality of the chemical materials themselves are unstable as usual,nor does the nation has a whole and efFective series of quality control standards for the chemical materials and method standards to measure the elements in the pyrotechnic compositions,so it's extremely urgent,and only by this way,to develop the methods to test the chemical elements in pyrotechnic compositions to make sure the content of them in the SaFety Data Sheet(SDS).According to the experience of inspecting the pyrotechnic articles for exported for many years,I figured out 18 most typical types of chemical materials from over 40 types which are used in the pyrotechnic factories to be the target of my study,they are KNO3,KClO3,KClO4,Ba(NO3)2,C8H5O4K,Pb3O4,,K2Cr2O7,Na2C2O4,SrCO3,Na3AlF6, Al,Mg-Al,CuO,Bi2O3,C,S,Ti,Fe and Zn.The purpose of the study is to develop the methods of measuring the aluminium content, magnesium content,Ferrum content,cuprum content,strontium content,barium content, plumbum content,titanium content,natrium content,zinc content,sulfur content,bismuth content,potassium content,perchlorates content,chlorates content,nitrates content and bichromates content.The study includes two ways to analyse the chemical elements,one is traditional chemical analysis and the other is instrumental analysis.After being dissolved in strong acid,all the chemical elements would be separated into several analysis group by their own physical and chemical quality and then I can find the way to measure the contents of them.The results of the measurement show that all the recycle rates of the difFerent measurements are above 98%if the element content is in the range of 0.5%to 100%in the pyrotechnic composition and have a very good accuracy and precision,besides that the methods are very convenient to be operated and can fit the requirements of SDS.
