The waterborne UV-curable coatings have both the advantages of UV curable coatings and waretborne coatings, such as environmental friendly, fast curable speed, energy saving, excellent performance of film, etc. They have been an hot aspect of coating technology development.In this dissertation,SnC14·5H2O and SbC13 were used as raw materials. Nano-functional powders with the thermal insulation character have been prepared by heterogeneous precipitation method. Different measurements such as TG-DTA,XRD and TEM were applied to characterize the properties of functional powders. We have studied the amount of antimony doping content and calcined temperature on the effects of the particle size of functional powders. The results indicated that the tetragonal SnO2 Phase crystal structure of the particles remained unchanged when Sb was doped to it. The particle size of the powder that have homogeneous morphology is about 5-10nm. With the doped Sb concentration increasing, the XRD diffraction peak intensity gradually weakened the size of particles decreases. As the calcinations temperature increasing,the size of particles grows and the crystallization tend to be completed.The influences of those parameters such as the method of dispersion,the type of dispersant and pH value on the preparation of powder aqueous suspension were discussed. The fitting preparation condition of the stable powder aqueous suspension is as flowing: dispersing agent is KH560 and EFKA4550, pH value is 9-10, dispersion method is ultrasonic dispersion for 15min, and then milling 12h.The average size of functional particles in the aqueous suspension is 27.8nm.Polyurethane acrylate prepolymer is synthesized, functional powder aqueous suspension is added in it, then the water-borne ultraviolet (UV) curable transparent thermal insulation coatings have been prepared. Considering from general performance, cost and other factors of the coating, the best amount of insulation powder is 4.2%, and the best thickness of coating is 8μm. The visible light transmittance of the coating glass is 80%. when achieve equilibrium, the glass coated the thermal insulation coating can reduce the temperature more than 10℃than the blank. There are also many good basic performance of the coating, such as hardness, wear-resistant, water-resistant and so on.As a new kind of energy saving and environmental friendly coating, it has extremely high practical application value and wide market prospects.
