Due to unreasonable exploitation on coal resources, the geological environment's original balance state in mining area has been destroyed gradually, so its induced geological environment disaster occurred frequently. But that does not mean mining will inevitablely induce geological environment disaster, the disaster will be induced only when the mining area has reached a certain scale, or the mining intensity has exceeded the geological environmental bearing capacity. Therefore, the evaluation with scientifically rational methods on the capacity in coal-mining area has become an important aspect of the geological environment field.On the basis of concluding and drawing lessons from the previous research, this paper expounded the definition and connotation of the geological environmental bearing capacity on coal mine areas, analyzed its influence factors in detail, established its evaluation system, put forward its evaluation criteria and methods, designed extensive evaluation module based on VB. The main results were as follows:(1)The concept and content of geological environmental bearing capacity has been described in detail,that is under a certain degree of eco-environmental quality objective, coal mining areas geological environmental endured disturbance intensity maximum which induced by mining or coal mining areas withstand the maxmum strength of mining.(2)The geological environment bearing capacity evaluation three-index system was established. The target layer was geological environment bearing capacity, the rule layer include anti-disturbance capability of geological environment and bearing capacity of ecological environment, index layer under the former include structural medium,shape,fractures,stress, and hydrogeology condition, index layer under latter main consider the difference between bearing capacity for mining disturbance of the different land-use types.(3)According to the destruction levels of building, water body and soil, the geological environmental bearing capacity's evaluation standard were established, and that was divided into four levels, which were strong, relatively-strong , weak, very-weak.(4)The comprehensive index method and the extensive method were put forward to evaluate geological environmental bearing capacity, According to the needs of evaluation, the geological environmental bearing capacity's extensive evaluation module based on VB was complied, the previous mining subsidence dynamic prediction system was improved. Using the comprehensive index method and extensive evaluation module, the geological environmental bearing capacity of Dong po coal-mining area in Tong chuan and Liu huang-gou area were evaluated, and the results were coincide with actual situation of coal mining area.
