Great mining high technology is the main direction of development in thick coal seam mining technology.The roof destabilization is one of the important constraint factors in the mining of thick coal seam.Broken roof under the condition of great mining high shows strong behavior,resulting in fracture rock,damaging the integrity of rock mass,the instability control is a dynamic and complex system with the feature of localization.Therefore,study to the stability of the roof in great mining high,not only for the safety production,but also for the development of surrounding control theory in great mining high has great significance.For the broken roof stability problem in the 6.2m work face under the complex condition in the Yang Changwan Coal Mine,this paper used some scientific methods and technology means,including the engineering geological survey,rock mechanics test,acoustic emission based on the physical simulation and numerical calculation,industrial test in coal field and so on,ensuring the safe and efficient of great mining high.Research shows that the broken rock under the condition of mining with height 6.2m resulted in the complex phenomenan of roof damage,deformation and migration.rock burst intensity and the scope of abutment pressure has increased,in the region of stress increased,easily trigger coal wall and roof instability.Reasonable support is the primary task in roof control,increasing the density of support in the roof region of serious fragmentation and deformation,enhancing the integrity of rock,controling roof face instability.Finally,safty mining were achieved.The technology had been successfully applied to the roof instability control in Yang Changwan Coal Mine 6.2m with fully mechanized mining workface.The research provides a reliable basis for control broken roof stability in fully mechanized mining with great mining height,At the same time,the control technology has a certain referent significance.
