This thesis includes four chapters as follows:Chapter 1: Progress of Synthesis of p-acetylaminophenolThe synthetic method of p-acetylaminophenol from different starting materials is reviewed in this chapter. Compared with different starting materials and methods,it was pointed out that the method from starting material phenol would be the better way for producing p-acetylaminophenol in veiw of economy and environment.Chapter2: Synthesis of p-acetylaminophenol through the new technologyThe high purity and yield p-acetylaminophenol was synthesized through zinc as antioxidant and catalyst, glacial acetic acid and p-aminophenol as raw materials in this chapter. Product was identified by analysis of m.p and H1NMR. Finally the merit of the technology was reviewed.Chapter3: Synthesis of p-acetylaminophenol through the new one-pot method A new one-pot method for synthesis of p-acetylaminophenol from phenol,glacial acetic acid and hydroxylamine hydrochloride by Fries rearrangement over PPA catalyst and Beckmann rearrangment was studied in this chapter. Product was identified by analysis of m.p and H1NMR. Finally the merit of new one-pot method for synthesis of p-acetylaminophenol was reviewed.Chapter4: Synthesis of analogues of p-acetylaminophenol through the new one-pot method A new one-pot method for synthesis of analogues of p-acetylaminophenol from phenol, propanoic acid or butyric acid and hydroxylamine hydrochloride by Fries rearrangement over PPA catalyst and Beckmann rearrangment was studied in this chapter. Product was identified by analysis of m.p and IR.
