Metal explosion welding is between metal physics, explosion welding technology in physics and a door between edge discipline, the explosion welding is made with explosives on metal welding energy production and metal composite of a very practical value of high-tech. It is the biggest characteristic is to be in the same moment, especially different and arbitrary combination of metal, simple, quick and strong welding together. It is the largest area of various combinations, various shapes, sizes and various uses of metal and metal composite materials.This design adopts an aluminum of 1050A and a steel of Q235-A proceeding explosive welding, acquiring the goodly external appearance of transition joint. Then proceed heat treatment to the composite joints through different temperature, in order that imitate welding heat effect of the joint in the vehicle manufacture. By means of mechanical property assay of drawing, shear and bending, metallographic microscopy observation, micro-hardness and scanning electron microscopy , analyse their structure and property. Get the results as follows :1. Mechanical property test indicate that the tensile, shear and bending strength of the aluminum-steel cladding joint can reach the standard demand.2. The aluminum-steel cladding joint has excellent thermal fatigue resistance.3. The result of micro-hardness test shows that obvious explosive hardening effect happened on the explosive composite interface when explosive welding.4. With the temperature of heat processing go up, the diffusion of atoms strengthen in the interface of aluminum-steel, the diffusion zone increase. When temperature beyond 550℃, the interface generate intermetallic compound of aluminum and steel, which the proportion of atom is 3:1, its chemical formulation is FeAl3.
