Nanoribbons have aroused much attention from many scientists due to their particular properties and greatly potential applications in light, electricity and so on. Photochromatic material can be used in information storage, decorative material, package material, signal display and other fields because of their unique characteristics. It is a novel research subject to insert photochromic nanoparticles into polymer to prepare inorganic compounds/polymer nanometer hybrid photochromic composite nanoribbons by electrospinning. In this disseration, sol-gel technique was employed to prepare the precusor solution with certain viscosity by mixing AgX hydrosol, AgX organosol, Zn(HDz)2 with PVA, PMMA, and PVP, respectively and prepared AgX/PVA composite nanoribbons, AgX/PMMA composite nanoribbons, Zn(HDz)2/PVA composite nanoribbons and AgX/PVP composite nanofibers using electrospinning technique. The samples were systematically characterized by XRD, FTIR, SEM, UV-Vis, et al. The results illustrate that the width of AgX/PVA, Zn(HDz)2/PVA composite nanoribbons are all in 1~2μm and the thickness is about 100nm; the width of AgX/PMMA composite nanoribbons are all in 5~10μm and the thickness is about 1μm; the diameter of AgX/PVP composite nanofibers are around 200nm. These samples which we have mentioned above all have excellent photochromism effect.
