Crankshaft is a very important component of large marine engine and key part is crank. Bending-forging is one of the important processing methods to forming crankshaft. A dep and systematic study of the K98MC-C marine crankshaft bending-forging process is made in this paper by means of FEM numerical simulation and experimental research.Based on the rigid-plastic FEM theory with large deformation and DEFORM-3D software which is an important FEM software, this article has analyzed the K98MC-C marine crankshaft's bending forging process through numerical simulation and experimental study. The paper analysised bending forging mechanism of the process, revealed the main reasion for defects of the crankshaft in forming, then determined the forming quality evaluation endex and the main factors of forming quality. The article has analyzed the main flaw of the crank forming process. Basing on couping analysis of key paramenters, improved the routine bending forging process, fixed die size, formed the improve forming porecess program. Identified improvement forming process has been analysised by numerical simulation. The forming process, bending and pressure rough quality, and the force of forming was evaluated by analysis. The results show that the new forming process can meet to the quality requirements.This article designed proprietary device, using lead with a scale of 1:10, studied above forming precess. The results show that silumation and experiments results fits better, and the numerical simulation results are reliable. The forming process and related paramenters in this parer have great reference value to the development of K98MC-C large crankshaft forming technology.
