Nanomaterials have became a very active field of research due to the fascinating physics properties and potential applications in the fields such as mechanical engineering, electron, photoelectron parts, electromagnetism defend and biomedicine electronics. Silicon carbide is a kind of non-oxide materials with excellent properties. It can serve as nanocomposites materials due to many excellent properties such as good thermal conductivity, good chemical stability, high mechanical strength and low friction. The structure and absorption properties of silicon carbide nanocomposites are studied based on the purpose to forecasting the absorption properties of nanocomposites. The main contents are as follows:Firstly, the application, research actualities and progress directions of absorbing nanomaterials in nation and abroad are discussed. The influence condition to absorption properties is given through the analysis of basic absorption principle of absorbing nanomaterials and the absorbing mechanism of absorbing nanomaterials. Then the excellence and abroad application foreground of silicon carbide nanoparticle(SiCP) composites are introduced.Secondly, the preparation process and characterization of SiCP nanocomposites is introduced simply. The measure process of SiCP composites relative permittivity and reflectivity in 2 GHz~18 GHz is introduced and the experiment date is given.Finally, the reflectivity and the microwave absorption model of SiCP nanocomposites is given based on the conservation law of energy and the theory of electromagnetic scattering. The reflectivity of SiCp/paraffin nanocomposites was calculated and the computed values of reflectivity are well consistent with the measured values in the whole range of frequency. It proved the correctness of the model. Then the reflectivity of SiCP/SiO2, SiCP/SiN is calculated and compared. The connection of reflectivity with substrate, thickness and particle content is given.
