Cams are one of key parts of automatic machines, but cams are difficult machined parts for their complex shape and higher machining requirements. The thesis takes lots of works and forward theories,which many researchers have finished, and proposes the method of adaptive control of grinding force based on Single-chip microcomputer, which has a certain of practical significance. Main contents of the dissertation are follows:Analysis of the cam grinding process problems, based on research of the problems of cam grinding and the theory deeply, a mathematical model of cam grinding is established from re-measured all the parameters required for system modeling. In previous studies based on the grinding force control requirements, two grinding force adaptive controllers are designed , that PID controller and fuzzy controller. For the former controller, adjust the relationship between PID parameters and system time domain parameters. For the fuzzy controller, established the fuzzy control rule table, and determined the input quantitative factor and the output scale factor.Designe the hardware and software of grinding force adaptive control system based on MSP430. For the hardware, it has given a brief introduction of the use of chips and described the specific circuits of signal acquisition, liquid crystal display, power, cascade control, serial communications and so on. For the software, the algorithm program of adaptive control system has been written so that all the hardware modules can complete the corresponding operations orderly,and redevelope the original numerical control system.Expound the debugging method of singlechip's simulation program. The fuzzy controller is simulated by using the Simulink dynamic tool of Matlab. It is confirmed that the design is feasible and effective through the curves of grinding force.
