The 21st century,the century of the ocean, coastal countries in the world would make the development of ocean resources and environment as a hot topic. Research in the field of marine technology could provide reliable and necessary scientific theories about marine environmental protection, marine construction, marine resources development, to ensure navigational safety, marine disaster prevention. On the research and development of ocean survey technology, the development level in western countries is Far ahead of the developing countries. With the Reform and opening up in our country, development of continuous hydrological automatic measuring device is imperative. By development of ocean automatic measuring devices and technology platforms,our country will implement independent innovation,continuous improvement and catch up with the international advanced level.Tide,the basic elements of literature, is one of the most important factor in the physical oceanography. In the process of development and utilization of ocean, tidal height is a very important element of the design parameters and accompanied by frequent storm surges, that making it the focus of ocean observation and prediction. To this end, the development of tide measuring devices has a very important significance1, by analyzing a variety of characteristics and development status about measurement methods and techniques, carefully distinguish their advantages and disadvantages,than proposed a overall design of Radar Tide Gauge measurement system;2,finished the design of the hardware framework of the Radar Tide Gauge, the hardwares have five parts: microwave radar, the voltage signal (A/D) communications controller, RS485 communication interface RS232 converter switch and computer;3, finished the development of software design, utilized referenced principles about tidal similarity theory, that the correlation coefficient calculated tidal similarity about tidal similarity theory, that the correlation coefficient calculated tidal similarity theory, least squares,and calculated tide height ratio,the surface parameters and datum principle of linear transmission. Then compiled the theories into the software algorithms, to achieve the analysis of tide measurmented data;4, complete the field tests, including Dalian Tiger Beach long-term tide gauge and Lvshun-Yang tou wa temporary tide measurment point. The experiments test and calibrate the function and performance of this kind measurement system.
