Oil shale is a kind of sedimentary rock with inorganic minerals skeleton containing solid organic matter, mainly of kerogen and a small amount of asphaltenes. With enormous reserves, oil shale is a kind of combustible minerals. Shale oil which is similar to natural oil on C/H ratio can be got from the oil shale by the retorting technology in low temperature.The shale oil from oil shale by the retorting technology is an ideal substitute for nature oil. According to the report on the magazine of oil in West Germany in 1974, the shale oil contained in the oil shale twice to five times more than the nature oil. When the new energy issue was discussed in the United Nations in 1979, it was also considered that the shale oil reserved far exceed than the nature oil. When the nature oil is decreasing, we must be more aware of the exploitation and utilization of oil shale, making shale oil gradually supersede the nature oil.The existing retorting technology can not exploit the oil shale properly for it can cause pollution to the environment and it is high energy-consuming. To solve the problems, the innovative technology of refining gas complete alternation oil shale grade retorting for fuel oil and liquefied petroleum gas production was brought forward.In this paper, we make data analysis for the oil shale in An area mining area in different layers by Aluminum Zhen Method. We found that the best retorting temperature is 520℃. The average oil content is around 15%. The average retorting gas of base is about 5%. There are large amounts of C3 and C4 in the retorting gas. Direct combustion of the gas can not use the energy fully, causing energy waste. In response, we designed new technology to recover the liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) in the retorting gas. We find that the heat of Combustion of gas after LPG process can still meat the technical requirements by technological process simulation. When the quality of the oil shale is low, the heat of Combustion of gas after LPG process may not meat the technical requirements. So we have designed the control system on the heat-transfer system to supplement the heat making sure the process can run safely and smoothly.Without affecting refining gas complete alternation oil shale grade retorting technology, the innovative technology of refining gas complete alternation oil shale grade retorting for fuel Oil and liquefied petroleum gas production was brought forward. The liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) might be recycled, and the fuel oil be produced. With lighter pollution and higher production value, we can exploit and utilize the oil shale more scientifically and reasonably.
