With the development of social and the improvement of living standards, energy consumption is increasing. However, energy on Earth is not inexhaustible. How to effectively solve the problem of inadequate energy supply is becoming an urgent affair. Phase change materials become the most effectively solving method and offer a broad basic for phase change materials because of their characteristics of absorbing or releasing energy during phase change and keeping the same temperature almost.The paper select paraffin as phase change material which basing on phase change materials at home and abroad. Paraffin has become the most frequently used phase change material because of their advantages of high phase change latent heat, non-over cold and precipitation phenomena, properties stability, non-toxic, non-corrosive and low cost. Meanwhile, selecting porous medium expanded perlite which makes phase change materials and structure into integration-as a carrier of paraffin.Paraffin/expanded perlite phase change material researched by myself is the mainly research object in the paper. The research process generally includes theory preparation, experimental research, data analysis and properties testing, and from the perspective of theory and experiment confirming the properties' advantage, and comparing paraffin/expanded perlite phase change walls with common wall in thermal properties by the building envelope model, Conclusion:20% of ratio of paraffin/expanded perlite compound phase change material is the best.
