The Research On Semantic Symbols In Furniture Redesign

Furniture Redesign is a method to redesign furnishings by using wasted material. It is an ecological design concept derived from the influence of ecological culture. And it's also design activities with the social needs. Furniture Redesign is not only a process of "turning wasted into treasure" but also a design of a profound connotation of spirit.. It's a movement for semantic symbols onto criticize and reflection of the Modernism. Designers at home and abroad have been done many researchers in this field. But still there is no any achievement in theory yet.This thesis is in the light of theory of the Semiotics. First of all,the author introduces some Concepts about the furniture redesign semiotics and the production language during the redesign activities. Secondly, the author analyzes the significance of the redesign and what the social values about the theory can brought to us. And then comparing with the production which has been already produced. The principles and the methods that the author used in this thesis are from the questionnaire, investigation and comparative analysis. The purpose of this research is to make the social and the designers have a correct understanding about the reproduced furniture. It also obtains more useful information which can provide to the readers. The author tries to make her research theoretical, instructive and practical.
