The Research Of Modern Furniture Design Based On Tai Chi Graphic Symbols

The Tai Chi graphic symbols have profound and rich connotation,they showed a unique aesthetic characteristics and philosophical thinking,curdled the extensive and profound philosophy into graphic symbols,and provided a rich form of design for modern furniture design.This paper attempts to take Tai Chi graphic symbols as the research object,deeply analyze the morphological characteristics,the aesthetic form and the philosophic thinking of the unity of opposites of Tai Chi graphic symbols through the method of literature research,case analysis,induction and the combination of theory and practice,which would provide a certain theoretical reference for the modern furniture design.First,this paper analyzed the origin,the harmonious thought,the cultural connotation and the contemporary value of Tai Chi graphic symbols,which laid a theoretical foundation for the research of the modern furniture design;Secondly,combined with examples,the author explains the aesthetic features of Tai Chi graphic symbols such as"the form of beautyt","morphological features and formal beauty",and concluded that the aesthetic characteristics of Tai Chi graphic symbols provided a various form of expression for modern furniture;Thirdly,From the aspects of "Virtual and Real","Figure and Ground","Yin and Yang "," Black and White "and" Material",this paper analyzed the application of the philosophical thinking of the unity of opposites of Tai Chi graphic symbols in modern furniture design;Next,the author analyzed the design basis,design connotation and design principle of Tai Chi graphic symbols in modern furniture design,and discussed the design method of Tai Chi graphic symbols in modern furniture design;Finally,based on the above conclusions,this paper designed the modern furniture products of "Partition shelf',"Bookcase","Simple chair","Tea table" and "Double seat" and verified the above research content.The research of this paper can provide theoretical guidance for the research of modernfurniture design to some degree,especially for the application of traditional graphic symbols in modern furniture design,which can not only meet people's increasing cultural demand and spiritual pursuit,but also design more abundant and diverse modern furniture products,and provide references to other modern design at the same time.
