Coal is one of the main source of energy in our country, accounting for 72% of the total energy consumption. With coal-fired power plant flue gas emissions,the large amount of SO2 gas is emitted into the atmosphere environment every year.According to "2008 State of the Environment", China's sulfur dioxide emissions was 23.212 million t in 2008. A large number of SO2 in the atmosphere caused air quality deterioration and acid rain.In the monitoring of 477 cities, there are 252 cities have acid rain, accounting for 52.8%.SO2 pollution in China has been seriously endangered people's health, limiting economic and social sustainable development.Therefore, to develop, the application of various desulfurization technologies is imperative. Biological desulfurization is a new flue gas desulphurization technology has broad application prospects.On the use of biotechnology, the author screen ferrooxidans which have better effect on degradation of sulfur dioxide gas isolated from the environment, for removal of SO2 biotrickling filter test, to find on the different operating conditions, Biotrickling filter removal efficiency and desulphurization of Thiobacillus impact of the law.Experimental results show that,with the increase of inlet concentration, SO2 purification efficiency decreases. In the short retention time,T.f bacteria can't effectively use spray liquid iron in the double oxide system can't operate effectively, leading to less effective purifying. With the same gas concentration, when the activated carbon particles as a carrier of bacteria, SO2 removal efficiency is highest, mixed filler is middle,and ceramisite is the lowest. In low spray density, with the spray density increases, the removal efficiency increased, however, with the spray density is increasing, purification efficiency decreased.When the spray density increase to 2.0m3·m-2·h-1, purification efficiency of the ceramic tower packing is highest, when the spray density increase to 1.6m3·m-2·h-1, purification efficiency of activated carbon and mixed filler ceramic tower packing is highest.With the bio-trickling filter running, packed tower pressure drop increases. Activated carbon with high purification efficiency, ceramic has a lower pressure drop. Activated carbon particles as filler trickling filter pressure drop increased more, pressure drop reach to 520Pa, mixed with ceramic purifying effect of activated carbon carrier was no significant decrease, but the pressure drop is closer to ceramic.The addition of ceramic is able to maintain a high removal rate, the effective reduction of carbon trickling filter pressure drop.Content of SO42- in circulating nutrient solution increased significantly, it shows that the microbial transformation of SO2 gas.
