Sulfonate Gemini surfactants are a new generation of surface active agent with excellent performance and have commercial development value. After reducing production, it will replace the tradition single-chain surfactant in many areas. The paper designed and synthesized a new surface active agent of containing sulfonic acid amide base by the structural features of the conventional surfactants.Sulfonate Gemini surfactants were synthesis with diethylene triamine, 2-bromoethane sulfonic acid sodium salt as raw materials and named DTTM-8, DTTM-10, DTTM-12. At the reaction time 6h, the reaction temperature 50℃, molar ratio of diethylene triamine and 2-bromoethane sulfonic acid sodium salt 1: 2.2, yield of intermediate was 88.54%. At the reaction time 24h, the reaction temperature 15℃, molar ratio 1: 3.2, yield of DTTM-8, DTTM-10 and DTTM-12 were 35.65%, 34.34%, 30.18%. Structural characterization response with DTTM-12 of structure by used the Infrared spectra, elemental analysis and 1HNMR.By using the hanging-drop method at 25℃, surface tension of aqueous solutions was determined. Sulfonate Gemini surfactant compared with the traditional surfactants sodium dodecyl sulfate and DTAC, had excellent surface activity and low critical micelle concentration. the cmc of DTTM-8 was 0.40mmol/L,γcmc was 21.47mN/m, the cmc of DTTM-10 is 0.67mmol/L,γcmc was 22.16 mN/m. And with the increasing of DTTM surfactant hydrophobic chain length,Гmax gradually reduced, was respective 1.27μmol/m~2, 1.14μmol/m~2; Amin gradually increased, was respective 1.31nm~2, 1.44nm~2, pC20 value is increased, in the air-liquid interface adsorption trend is strengthening, reducing the efficiency of the surface tension increases. TheΔG?mic andΔG?ads are negative, indicating that the micellization process and the surface adsorption are spontaneous process.The bubble properties of the DTTM were determined by stir. With the increasing of the concentration, foaming performance and foam stability were enhanced. Around the cmc, the foaming performance and foam stability were almost unchanged; With the rising of the temperature, foaming and foam stability were enhanced. With the increasing of NaCl concentration, firstly, foaming performance and foam stability were enhanced, then decreased. In 2000 mg/L, there is a peak.According to "group number" method, the DTTM-8, DTTM-10 and DTTM-12 of the HLB value were calculated. The wetting properties of DTTM-8, DTTM-10 and DTTM-12 was determined. With the increasing of the product concentration, the contact angle of the hydrophobic surface and the hydrophilic surface were reduced. the hydrophilic surface was more hydrophilic, the hydrophobic surface became hydrophilic by wetting reversal. DTTM and the cationic surfactant DTAC has good synergy. With the increasing of DTAC, surface tension and cmc values decreased, compared with a single dose DTTM and DTAC, the surface tension and cmc are better than a single dose.
