In this paper, the contents of Cr (Ⅲ) and Cr (Ⅵ) in leather production as well as finished leather were determined by the combination analytical method of Spectrophotometry and Chemiluminescence. Also, the reasons of high Cr (Ⅵ) content in the process of leather production and usage are discussed. Meanwhile, in the course of the study, it is found that Al elements have obvious inhibiting action on luminous intensity of Luminol - hydrogen peroxide– Cr (Ⅲ) chemiluminescence system, while discussing the method of the flow injection inhibitory chemiluminescence which determines the Al content of crops. This paper includes two parts as follows:1. The high Cr (Ⅵ) content, which is one of major pollutants in the leather industry, has a severe effect on leather's safe use, and blocks the future development of leather industry. This paper discussed the reasons and conditions of creating Cr (Ⅵ) in the usage process of leather production. The method that determined the concentration of Cr (Ⅲ) and Cr (Ⅵ) simultaneously via optimized experiment conditions of the combination method of Spectrophotometry and Chemiluminescence was also created. After the monitoring, sampling and investigation of leather production process, leather samples have been tailored and extracted with standard method, and the concentration of Cr (Ⅲ) and Cr(Ⅵ) in the sample of main process segment have been determined, which provide the basis for creating Cr (Ⅵ) in leather production.2. Aluminum is an element which found in biological samples in low concentrations. Aluminum-related nerve-disease in human beings had been reported. The experiment which is based on the inhibition of Aluminum for the chemiluminescence system of luminol-H2O2-Cr (Ⅲ) detected the volume of aluminum in rice , millet, mung bean, kidney bean. The flow injection inhibitory chemiluminescence is established by liner relationship between the concentration of aluminum andΔI. Its range is 1×10-5 g/ml~1×10-7g/ml. So the method has merits of wide liner range, low cost, little disturbance and easy work. It fits batch operation well.
