The blast furnace shell, which plays an important part on fixation cooling equipment, fastness of firebrick, resistance on inner gas press and sealing blast furnace,is an essential component of Blast Furnace Steel.Static Analysis and Seismic Response Analysis of Finite element model of blast furnace shell is made in this paper, which based on the finite element software ANSYS.The Research content are as follows:1) The static analysis is made carefully, considering the temperature effect, self-weight and equimments load, vertical friction force, horizontal press from gas and other popular load classify. The stress distribution of the furnace shell and the furnace steel shell structure load-mechanism have in-depth understanding.2) Following the static analysis is the Modal Analysis and the Seismic Response Analysis. Natural frequency and other Dynamic parameters are acquired, which is based on Seismic Response Analysis. Using the Time history analysis method, by entering ELCENTRO wave in software, the paper get the displacement, stress, anti-base reaction force of blast furnace shell and other reaction rule under 8 degree earthquake. The results show that:1) Under static impact, The largest contribution to the stress is the horizontal press from gas and slag-iron.As a whole, the overall is in the elastic state, the upper stress is smaller than the lower. But there is Stress concentration phenomenon on the Blast Openings. The largest stress happened in Taphole edge. In addition to the stress of the local openings implications, Shell maximum stress occurs in the lower taphole. The largest contribution to the displacement is the temperature load.2) Under Seismic Loads, The every part of the shell is little effected and all in the elastic state. The largest displacement occurs in the roof. Shell maximum stress occurs in the outlet. Obtained by Time domain and frequency domain conversion, The maximum displacement occurs in 1.17 Hz. Through the analysis of the time curve of every part of the shell, shell can be seen as a whole to resist the seismic loads in general conditions. This research work can provide theoretical basis on the design theory and method of blast furnace shell in our country.
