With the development of domestic economy and the improvement of people living standard level, indoor comfortable, artistic request for people is getting higher and higher, the indoor decoration warms up unceasingly. Simultaneously for the energy conservation, the building airtight degree enhances unceasingly, but at present the air-conditioning equipment selected in housing indoor generally does not induce fresh air, improper ventilation causes the harmful gas emitted from decorating materials and furniture cannot exhaust effectively.Residential indoor air pollution is mainly from various interior decorating materials, the study found that the various "sick building syndrome" (SBS) is mainly caused by the VOCs released from building materials. But facing the broad range of decoration and furniture materials in the market, how to select the interior materials to effectively reduce indoor air pollutants concentration, which is a problem for many residents and home improvement company to face up.This article investigated the indoor air pollution caused by decoration of existing residential buildings in Xi'an, through a number of selected residences for one year to track testing, analyzed the space-time distribution of five kinds of indoor air pollutants: TVOC, benzene, formaldehyde, radon and dust PM10. Then take typical decorated room (living room) in a residence for example, a large-size environment room was structured in the laboratory to simulate harmful gas pollution of typical room, and use the ratio of area to space volume in the real type living room to calculate the indoor building materials usage of experimental room, take orthogonal test method to analyze the TVOC and formaldehyde concentration under the different levels of five factors:interior wall paint, varnishes, flooring, temperature and humidity and the ventilation amount. In short, large-size model test studied three kinds of building materials and two environmental factors effect on the interaction of indoor air pollution in residential buildings. Finally though the three selected building materials combinations in the small model environment room, with the intermittent ventilation baking method to remove pollutants from small model environmental room, by monitoring indoor air TVOC and formaldehyde concentration with time, proposed comparative analysis of program's feasibility and economy, the program used the intermittent ventilation baking method to solve indoor air quality problems in practical decoration.
