Indoor gaseous pollutants like formaldehyde,volatile organic compound?VOC?and semi-volatile organic compound?SVOC?emitted from various building materials,furniture and consumer products has become to major pollutants in residence and affect human health.Existing studise on different gaseous pollutants indoor are in different level in China:internal research of SVOC is still on the start point because people start to recognize SVOC as a indoor pollutant in recent years;source emission characteristic research on VOCs emits from building materails has a in-depth analysis,but wide range research of VOCs basic data for Chinese residential building is still scanty;although opening windows is the most commonly method for Chinese people to improve indoor air quality,purification effect and potential of natural ventilation for different gaseous pollutants remains to be further studied.Consequently,some relevant studies have been carried out in this dissertation,with the following academic contributions and conclusions:Firstly,to reveal y0?the gas-phase SVOC concentration in equilibrium with the source material?,a characteristic parameter for SVOC sources,could be assumed as a constant or not,this study quantitatively investigated the variation of y0 over time under two aging conditions.Three phthalates?Di-iso-butyl Phthalate?DiBP?,Di-n-butyl Phthalate?DnBP?,and di-?2-ethylhexyl?phthalate?DEHP??emitted from polyvinyl chloride?PVC?floorings and one flame retardant?tris?2-chloroisopropyl?phosphate,TCPP?emitted from polyurethane foam?PUF?were targeted.Experimental results indicated that,y0 for SVOCs with higher volatility decreased faster than SVOCs with lower volatility.And put forward that generally treated SVOC source by lumped parameter method may not appropriate.Secondly,VOCs were measured in over 200 occupied residence,and over 600samples were collected in 10 cities covering all five climatic regions in China in order to provide normative VOCs data on typical Chinese dwellings.Aldehydes is likely to be the characteristics VOCs of Chinese dwellings compared with data tested in other countries,and Aldehydes may produce from Chinese cooking oil fumes.Impact factors analysis of temperature,humidity,infiltration rate and decorate year on TVOC concentration in real rooms were provided.Finally,the long-term effects of natural ventilation for formaldehyde,TVOC,and ammonia concentrations were studied.14 new decorated student dormitory rooms were monitored and over a three months natural ventilation(5-10h-1)period,decay rate of concentration of gaseous pollutants from high to low are TVOC,formaldehyde and ammonia in dormitories with pinewood and particle board furniture.For VOCs,Alcohols has the highest decay rate and alkanes followed;Benzene series has the slowest decay rate.
