This paper mainly discussed cementitious material which is prepared at room temperature with kaolin and geopolymer as mineral admixture and the effection of Portland cement strength is analysised by orthogonal experiment. Thus,it is laied the foundation for the practical application of the material.First of all, the characteristics of kaolin were analyzed, including chemical composition, physical properties and XRD, DTA, TG etc. Based on the results of this experiment, kaolin was investigated whether it has the volcanic activity, a common and raw material in shanyin county of Shanxi. The thesis puts forward cementitious material proportioning formula by using kaolin. The effection on the compressive strength are deeply analyzed by the mixed amount of kaolin, different particle size and the water-cement ratio,and the kaolin dosage with more than 15%. The study results indicate that: the strength of the Portland cement increased significantly by adding the kaolin into the Portland cement in 5%~20% of Kaolin content. Meanwhile with the kaolin dosage increased, the particle size, water-cement ratio is the main controlling parameters. But the standard consistency water demand addition, but when the kaolin content exceeds 20 percent,the Portland cement strength can not improve or even reduce.Kaolin as a good reactive mineral material which is sharing the similar functions of silica fume, can partly or completely be replaced with silica fume as a good ingredient for Portland cement which has great mechanical properties.Thus a new Geological polymer as mineral admixture was further researched by comparing cementitious material is prepared with Geological polymer which is used for mineral admixture and Portland cement, high-performance and practical applications. The results show that: Portland cement was increased when the compressive strength added to the raw materials prepared by Geological polymer. With the geological polymer dosage increasing, the mobility of its mixture was reduced, on account of low alkali-activated, the compressive strength became weaken on the amount of alkali failed to activate kaolin. Experimental results show that adding a conclusion geological polymer to the Portland cement is feasible.Kaolin and geological polymer are good mixture materials. Especially, in the process of experiment the effect was even better than before. There is a very good powder filling effection for improving the structure of materials. As the interface region becomes dense and strengthens, it has excellent physical and mechanical properties, Therefore, kaolin and kaolin composite material has vigorously promoted value.
