Compared with traditional crank - linkage - slider mechanical press based on energy storage elements flywheel, machatronics presses driven by servo motor have advantages of easily automatic control, programmable kinematics curves and high technical performance, which lead to its rapid development recent year. However, because of its short development period, the existing servo presses still have some disadvantages, such as the imbalance and complicated overall structure, poor cushion performance and large friction loss due to the non-symmetrical body.Guided by the symmetry idea of scientific aesthetics and creative design method called series combination of force-amplifier, we designed kinds of one-step, two-step, three-step, and four-step force-amplifier mechatronica and hydromechatronics presses driven by servo motor in a symmetrical structure in this paper. My major new researches are:(1) We carried out systematic analysis on servo motor, compared the technology performance of different servo motors and provided our advice on how to choose servo motors in this paper. In our creative design process, we make full use of the"electronic flywheel"energy storage technology and advantages of programmable control as well as its high precision characteristics.(2) To obtained relatively greater output force with the same input torque, three-step and four-step force-amplifier servo presses with a symmetrical structure have been designed, which guided by method of series combinations with force amplifier, can resolve the technical problems of expensive high-power servo motor by using the tandem force amplifier, and suitable for blanking and shallow drawing operation.(3) The duplex press we designed based on linear servo motor and area booster principle can achieve the order of two-station operation with a single servo motor, which results in great machine economy and high production efficiency. (4) The hydromechatronics press we designed has good cushioning properties.(5) Majority of the presses we designed are symmetrical layout, thus reduces the friction loss significantly owing to the balance radial force of pressure head.(6)The mechanical formula of each press we designed are presented in this paper, as well as kinematics simulation by PRO/ENGINNER and kinematics curves by MATLAB, which may have a practical reference value and theoretical guidance in engineering.
