Multiphase flow is an important subject for study in petroleum industry, most of oil-gas wells inevitably emerge the flow of multiphase mixtures of gas-liquid or oil-gas-water. In the progress of lifting, oil-gas plays an important part in the study of vertical gas-liquid flow. The principle purpose of researching two-phase pipeline purpose is to solve the problem of gas-liquid separation. As oilfield is developed deeply, the influence that gas exerts on oil well becomes more and more obvious. The influence of gas is a major reason for poor pump efficiency of oil-well pump. Some oilfields in our country are the complex fault block reservoirs, original gas-oil ratio of them is up to 150-200 m3 /m3, the ratio of part of working well is up to 2000 m3 /m3. For oil well which contains gas, it is necessary to lower the oil-gas ratio of rude oil coming into pump in order to improve the coefficient of fullness of pump. Consequently, it's one of effective ways to dissociate gas by oil-gas separator.Gas-liquid separator of multi-cup uniform flux is based on different density, which can extends residence time that oil well production takes in the settlement cup, to improve the desaeration efficiency. Gas-liquid separator is researched by both hydraulic design calculation and simulating lab test in this article. Based on that, we do some improvements in the structure and material aspects of gas-liquid separator of multi-cup uniform flux. Principal structure parameters of gas-liquid separator of multi-cup uniform flux include: the number of the edge of settlement cup, the knuckle, the inclination and surface material of cup and so on. The principal aim of study in this article is how to do optimal combination for above-mentioned parameters in order to achieve the best desaeration efficiency.With the combination of theoretical analysis and laboratory experiment, this thesis systematically studies the technology of gas-liquid separator and its application in the area of gas-liquid separation. This article deeply studies the feature of all kinds of fluid types of two-phase vertical pipe flow and their parameter. At the same time, a set of experiment model is established according to the actual situation of studying and a set of device is designed and built up in the special lab of daqing institute of petroleum, which simulates the gas-liquid separation in borehole. With laboratory experiments, we study the working conditions and separation effect of gas-liquid separator, and optimize the parameters like configuration of the settlement cup according to related theory and experiment by lab experiments.
