The subject of this paper is the second type tracts of Chaoyanggou oilfield. It has researched the injecting steam in to the thin oil low permeability reservior. This paper has recited the geologic characteristics of the second type tracts of Chaoyanggou oilfield, analysed the mechanism of the steam injection. And by the physical simulation and laboratory experiment of thermal recovery method, it proved the feasibility of thermal recovery and the technical application in the second type tracts of Chaoyanggou oilfield. Then by the research of cyclic steam stimulation and steam flood in pilot site, it analysed the changing regular pattern of production performance, situation of producing reserves and influential factor of exploitation, and it also evaluated the result of exploitation. Finally by establishing numerical simulation, it has optimized the parameters of cyclic steam stimulation and steam flood, defined the proper steam quality, injection flow rate, shut-in time, injection time and so on. It has offered basis for whole deploy research of recovery enhancement in the second type tracts of Chaoyanggou oilfield. The result of the research indicated that regarding to the low permeability oil reservoir, thermal recovery method is an effective stimulation measure. The success of the thermal recovery in the ChaoYanggou oil field second class clock, for the sake of the further explored the other low permeability thin oil field provides the basis through use the steam drive to enhance the crude oil recovery.
