| Injection molding is one of the most important molding methods in plastic processing. With the development of technology and realization for polymer, screw research also has a remarkable development. As one of significant plastic parts, screw has functions of plasticizing and injection. Therefore, the design of screw has great influences on plasticizing capability and product quality.This research introduces a new structure of injection screw with varied depth metering channel. The screw parameters are defined by Injection Molding Plastification software, orthogonal analysis, and standard deviation method. Based on the result of orthogonal design, screw parameters were optimized through small pace search method. By IMP software, the effect of process conditions such as barrel temperature and back pressure on temperature of polymer melts were analyzed in this paper.By using optimized screws process polymer materials and analyzing the temperature data from measuring points along screw direction, the experimental results show that the deep metering channel screw has better performances in decreasing the axial temperature difference, standard deviation, single measuring points fluctuation. Therefore, it provides a novel injection screw structure. |
