In this paper, the self-assembly of PS-PEO and its complex system were investigated in the form of thin films, which were prepared both on water surface and silicon by spincoating. For films on water surface, the concentration of polymer solution,sort of annealing vapor and annealing time were discussed to modulate films' morphologies. And for spin-coating films on silicon, polymer solvents,annealing vapor,annealing time and thermal annealing were considered. The main contents are listed as below.1. PS-PEO/toluene solution was dropped onto water surface. With the solvent evaporating, homogenous film of PS-PEO was formed. Organic solvent vapor was used to modulate the microdomain seperation, which is an effective method for self-assembly to obtain ordered microstructures. According TEM testing, lamellae structure was formed in the condition of toluene vapor for 24h, while cylindrical morphology was gained in chloroform vapor for 24h.2. C60 was introducing into PS-PEO and the self-assembly of PS-PEO/C6o was studied on water surface.1% C60 dispersed in PS domain. With the amount of nanoparticles increasing to 3%,5%,10%, C60 will get together, forming wire-like,rod-like and spherical congeries. The size of congeries hindered ordered structures of films. So the surface modification of C60 is necessary for self-assembly.3. Two methods were applied to prepare short single-wall carbon nanotubes(SWNTs). One was sonication in mixed acids(98% sulfuric acid:70%nitric acid=3:1), and AFM indicated that the obtained SWNTs were less than 450nm in length. The other way was ultra-sonication in the assistance of surfactant, and SEM tests showed 300nm or less.4. PS-PEO films were spin-coated on silicon using different solvents. And toluene,THF,benzene,chloroform,dichloromethane,DMF and mixed vapor were applied to treat films. According TEM tests, a variety of micro-phase seperation structures were formed, such as bicontinuous network,strips,continents,multi-layer,vesicles,sphere and so on. Exploring the self-assembly of PS-PEO/short-SWNTs system, and TEM showed SWNTs obviously influenced the diblock copolymer's microstructure.
