Experiment research of combustion desulfurization by additives such as CuO,Al2O3 and nano-TiO2 is studied in this work. The desulfurization efficiencies are measured by determining the SO2 content of the flue gase. The influences on desulfurization efficiencies of desulfurater CaCO3 and CaO with different amount of additive,Ca/S,combustion temperature and adding ways are discussed in this article. The unreacted shrinking reaction core model was used to inwestigate the reaction kinetics. It is shown that this model can describe the course of desulfurization. The reaction inclues two zones——surface reaction zone and the product layer diffusion zone.,and the product layer diffusion showedthe slow rate. The desulfurization mechanism was discussed by the thermogravimetric analysis of CaCO3,X-Ray Diffraction analysis of resultant,infra-redspectrum analysis of resultant, ion chromatography analysis of the absorption and calorificvalue analysis of the coal. The experimental results conclued that the nano-TiO2 has a certain effect of combustion desulfurization, and CuO has a certain effect of desulfurization.
