Ionic liquid has developed to be an environmental protection solvent in recent years. It has the virtues, such as non-volatile, wide liquid range, low melting point, selective dissolution of power and easy recovery, etc. In actual production, ramie fabric dyeing often follows the dyeing of cotton fabric, but by comparing with the latter one, ramie fabric has a high degree of epitaxy and crystallinity, which causes the low dyeing rate and poor performance on deep and thoroughly dyeing. Worse more, it is difficult to get bright color so that the use and promotion of ramie fabric has been severely limited. On the basis of domestic and foreign scholars'study, this paper has probed the effects of the self-made ionic liquid pretreatment on ramie fabric dyeing properties.In this paper, the synthesizing procedure of the two kinds of ionic liquids-[bmim]Br and [bmim]BF4 that made from N-methyl-imidazole has been studied,there structure can be embodied by IR and HNMR. These two kinds of ionic liquids was used for ramie fabric pretreatment seperately, of course, the purpose is to study their effects on ramie fabric's dyeing rate. Contemporary, by combing with the analyzing result of non-repetitive test of the two factor– the processing time and the processing temperature, the optimum treatment technics of the two ionic liquid has gained as follows: (1) For [bmim]Br: processing temperature, 100℃, processing time, 2h, bath rate, 1:30;. (2) For [bmim]BF4 : processing temperature, 80℃, processing time, 1.5h, bath rate, 1:30. By discussing the impact of ionic liquid pretreatment on ramie fabric's dyeing rate, the following conclusions was obtained: after the treatment of the two kinds of ionic liquid, both the rate and speed of dy-uptake of the ramie fabric will be increased with the temperature increasing, and obviously higher than the without any treatment ones. As it happens, this shows that these two ionic liquids can increase remie fabric's dyeing rate and speed. After discussing the influnce of ionic liquid pretreatment on the absorption-isotherm pattern of ramie fabric, the following conclusion was gained: dyeing the ramie fabric that was treated by ionic liquid [bmim]Br and [bmim]BF4 with directive salt-free dye, their absorption isotherm pattern is between the Freundlich pattern and the Langmuir pattern; Dyeing the ramie fabric that wad treated by ionic liquid [bmim]Br and [bmim]BF4 with active red salt - free dye, their absorption isotherm pattern is Freundlish pattern. Through orthogonal regression experiment, the influnce of three factors-ionic liquid processing temperature, time and ultrasonic frequency to the rate of directive dye has been analysed, and we got the link performance function of the dyeing rate and correlative factors.By analyzing the atlas of IR, XRD that before and after treatment, we found that after treated by ionic liquid, there are no new functional groups generated on ramie cellulose, the relative crystallinity decreased slightly, but no change in crystalline form of cellulose.Finally, the finished fabric and dyeing fabric's properties were tested and found that, the breaking strength in both latitude and longitude increases, and also the wash fastness, but the rubbing fastness reduces a little, but doesn't affect the use of the fabric.
