At present, the open architecture CNC system (ONC) is becoming increasingly widely used, its strong adaptability and flexible configuration capability, control software and connectivity features with the time extension, can adapt to new technology development, expansion of new functionality while to adapt to computer technology and the rapid development of information technology and upgrading.Motion controller is the core of open CNC system, through the motion controller in the four-axis CNC milling machine on the application, so that the machine can achieve surface processing, and so that the machine has high speed, high accuracy, high stability, real-time control, and four-axis linkage and other properties, consistent with the requirements of open CNC system with good compatibility.The thesis was mainly to design motion controller hardware which based on PCI bus and DSP and FPGA core processor, the main work includes:1) To analysis the open CNC system development and research status of domestic and abroad..2) Proposed design scheme from the perspective of the whole system, and analyzed the advantage and function of motion controller which based on the core processor of DSP and FPGA.and explained the function of the other auxiliary chips.3) To design the hardware of data transmission between the host computer and motion controller which including the PC and the PCI9052, PCI9052 and dual-port RAM and DSP TMS320LF2407A .In additional including the PCI9052 hardware configuration circuit.4) To design the external DSP hardware, and mainly to design and analysis the hardware of the minimum system DSP, JTAG interface circuit and the CAN interface circuit.5) The overall process of software motion controller has been designed and introduce interpolation algorithm of motion controller ,the initialization of the PCI9052 and CAN interface circuit in detail.Finally, the contents of this paper are summarized and the prospect of motion controller is presented.
