CO2 welding machines'parameters are transmitted by a six-core cable, which carries the signals of valve, wire feed motor drive, inching, torch switch, the given current and the given voltage respectively. In the fields of ship-building and high-rise buildings, sometimes welders must adjust the parameters up and down many times repeatedly, so it is extremely inconvenient and inefficient. And the cable tangles easily. The welder's drag and falling steel plates also cause disconnection and high failure rates, maintenance difficulties lead to high maintenance costs.The welding machines, except the one which using a remote control cable, however have some problems. The welding machines which used no-load voltage's adjusting can only adjust the welding current of SMAW, and they can only achieve the adjustment before welding; The welding machines which used the radio wave remote control to adjust the welding parameters, however, due to the shielding effect of pipes and small metal room, in factually, it's not appropriate for the particular welding places. In recent years the carrier wave welding machines was controlled by analog circuit, which have many components and have lowly reliability.This paper describes a kind of parameters'remote control technology for inverter CO2 welding machine, which was mainly controlled by MCU. It used a carrier-modulated signal transmission line to replace the traditional six-core cable. When the cable breaks, it can be repaired conveniently which leads to low failure rates and high production efficiency. Both modulation circuit and demodulation circuit use the hardware anti-jamming and software anti-jamming technology. Because of the using of KA567 demodulator chip, the system's anti-jamming capability is enhanced. Demodulated signals are stable and reliable, through the carrier line and eventually via MCU on the host boards the signals are converted to analog given signals and therefore this technology realized the parameters'remote control and display. The experimental results show that: the design in this paper with one carrier line can achieve all functions of CO2 welding machine and remote control, which can replace the six-core control cable and the parameters'given are timely and reliable. I made the circuit board based on that principle. The design is successful in distance remote control the parameters of the inverter CO2 welding machine.
