Research On System Of Emergent Rescue Based On Ontology

Recent years, there are some unexpected emergencies frequently outbreak, such as terrorism, earthquakes, floods, fires, epidemic diseases,the occurrence of these emergencies causes great harm to the security of people's personal property and society. The emergency rescue system which is based on solving these problems is a very complex system. It referrs to many areas of knowledge, since each sector has its own characteristics and exists duplications and intersections. Therefore, it is very necessary to share and reuse the knowledge of each area. At present, according to these knowledge, many scholars have set up some different systems, but because of these systems have a strong nature of field, it is very difficult to achieve by exchanging and sharing of knowledge. This situation causes a limitation of the applicance of these area systems which are created with a lot of time and energy, and their efficiencies couldn't be completely fulfilled. Thus the advantages of design a good sharing reuse system can not only reduce the complex of the knowledge base, but also make the knowledge base system simplified, and greatly enhanced the function of knowledge servers.This article is based on the establishment of ontology knowledge base, it has a definite formal description on the concepts and terminologies of specified field, and reduce or eliminate the confusion of concepts and terminologies, meanwhile, it fulfill the share of knowledge system, strengthen the capacity of solving the system problem, complete the mutual operation of knowledge system. Following are the main research contents:1. Through the research on relevant areas of the emergency rescue, and make a full study on the meaning of ontology in Information Science, and have a simplifed analysis on the ontology, knowledge base and other related areas.2. Have a further research on the concept of ontology , and study on the different types of formal languages of ontology, and make a conclusion that OWL(Web Ontology Language)is the most promising ontology language, it is also the most perfect language to express the meaning of ontology. After our fully analysis and comparation with present ontology tools, we set protégéas the modeling tools which are used to build the Emergency Rescue Ontology.3. After the study on the present ontology analysis, combine with the practice of Emergency Rescue, we propose a modeling method on the ontology knowledge base in emergency rescue system. We define the ontology model which is in the area of emergency rescue, and formally specified all the types, concepts, attributes, and relationships according to the pracitical situations. And base on the characteristics of the field of emergency rescue, we enrich OWL semantic relations. It proved that the method of ontology modeling and formal representation mechanism can better express the knowledge structure of emergency field. It is available.
