In this dissertation eight novel coordination complexes have been designed and synthesized dealing with the derivatives of 1,10-phenanthroline as ligands and the eight complexes include four mononuclear complexes with 2,9-bis(pyridin-2-methoxyl)-1,10-phenanthroline (L1) as ligand, namely, complex [Cu(L1)2]Br]ClO4 (1); complex[Co(L1)2](N3)2]; complex [Ni(L1)2]2(ClO4)-CH3OH (3); complex [Cu(L1)2(H2O)2}2(NO3)2(H2O) (4); two mononuclear complexes with 2-N,N-(diethanol)-1,10-phenanthroline (L2) as ligand, namely, complex [Cu(L2)(OSO3)(H2O)]-H2O (5) and complex [Cd(L2)(Cl)2] (6); and it also include complex [Co(L3)(ONO2)(H2O)2]NO3 (7) [2-(1,2,3-1H-triazol-2-yl)-1,10-phenanthroline (L3)] and complex [Zn(L4)2]2(ClO4) (8) [2-(1,2,4-1H-triazol-1-yl)-1,10-phenanthroline (L4)]。The eight complexes were characterized by infrared spectra and their crystal structures determined by X-ray crystallographic analysis. The study on the correlation between the structures of ligands and the coordination characters has been made and some correlation factors has been obtained. The varied-temperature magnetic susceptibilities were measured on complex (2), and the fitting has been processed based on the data of the susceptibilities and some correlation factors between theπ-πstacking and the magnetic coupling have been obtained. The obtained results will benefit the understanding of magnetic coupling mechanism forπ-πstacking and the preparation for ideal molecular magnets. The obtained results also will play an important role in understanding of coordination characters and structure specialties for complexes with the derivatives of 1,10-phenanthroline as ligands.
