The effects of aging on properties of Cu-Cr-Zr alloy are studied. The result show that the best heat-treatment process is the solid solution at 950℃, and aging at 450℃for 3h,the hardness can reach the 111.5HBS and the conductivity can reach 77.15%IACS. The further research on the alloy show that: the excellent overall properties of Cu-Cr-Zr alloy is because of the result of working together by small–scale precipitation Cr partical and lots of twins generated in the base. The exist of twins can not only improve the strength also have little effect on electrical conductivity. The Cr put in the alloy can lead to appearance of twins. Because it can reduce the fault energy of alloy, so the fault is easy to generate. In the early time of precipitation, the Cr partical keep coherence relations with base, as the increase of aging time the coherence is destruted, after aging for 3h, the precipitation partical cast off the coherence with base, then strength the base by Orowan principle. This subject aslo designed the pin-on-axle electrical contact sliding wear apparatus, which ran stably and was demonstrated to be up to the electrical contact sliding wear evaluation. The electrical contact sliding wear behavior of Cu-Cr-Zr alloy had been studied, and the results showed that the wear mechanisms mainly were adhere wear, arc erosive and abrasive wear and that there was a linear relation between the wear loss and sliding distance. The experiments presented the effects of current intensity and speed on wear properties of Cu-Cr-Zr alloy/45 steel wear behavior.
