Camphor-type β-diketone Cyclometalated Platinum (iridium) Complexes: Synthesis, Photophysical Characterization, Electrochemical Characterization, And Use In Organic Light Emitting Device

Series of camphor-typeβ- diketone cyclometalated Platinum(Iridium) complexes were synthesized in this paper. The photophiscal characteristics could be adjusted by modifying the ancillary ligands O?O. The electrochemical characteristics of complexes having the same ancillary ligand(tfcam) were discussed. And the efficiency of OLEDs improved because sterically camphor-typeβ-diketone in(ppy)Pt(bcam) and (ppy)2Ir(acam) significantly reducing molecular interaction.It carried out the following four areas in this paper:(1)Series of camphor-typeβ-diketone cyclometalated Platinum(Iridium) complexes were synthesized.(2)By changing the group R ofβ-diketone, the emission peak of complexes were shift : (46dfppy)2Ir(tfcam),(46dfppy)Pt(tfcam) and (ppy)Pt(tfcam) were red shift 32nm,5nm and 3nm, other cyclometalated Iridiumcomplexes with acam or bcam as assistant ligand were blue shift 1-4nm. (ppy)2Ir(bcam) had the lowest quantum efficiency 0.0010, (ppy)2Ir(acam) had the highest quantum efficiency 0.54 in this paper. The photophiscal characteristics could be adjusted by modifying the ancillary ligand O?O.(3)The electrochemical characteristics of complexes having the same ancillary ligand (tfcam) were tested by cyclic voltammogram. The electrochemical characteristics were changed.(4) Nondoped and doped OLEDs were fabricated by using phosphorescent material (ppy)2Ir(acam) and (ppy)Pt(bcam) . We investigated the properties of the OLEDs and found their efficiency improved because of sterically camphor-typeβ-diketone reducing molecular interaction .
